Ski Trip: Spring skiing (usually March) at Gunstock, Sunday River or Shawnee Peak, while sleeping in a beautiful old scout lodge with massive full-service kitchen, dining, and community area.
Mountain Hikes: Pitch the tents for a good night’s sleep, followed by a scenic and healthy hike up one of many of New England’s mountains. Patrols (6 scouts) work together to cook and eat their own delicious meals from the menu they’ve planned themselves. Pleasantly exhausted, relax by the campfire under the brilliant star-lit sky far from the light-pollution of city lights. Favorite past hikes included Mount Cardigan, Mount Monadnock, Mount Everest (just kidding), and Mount Greylock
Summer Camp: Summer Camp at Camp Resolute is another critical element in Troop 41 activities. Usually held the last week of July. All Scouts are strongly encouraged to attend summer camp for the benefits in training (scout skills and merit badges). Summer camp is fun with a purpose, where scouts gain memories that last a lifetime and have fun while doing activities that help them advance in rank.
